"Sunnyside Ranch is where I will always be. Those years defined who I am from my work ethic to my love of being outdoors and alone. I’ve worked to turn every place I’ve ever lived into Sunnyside Ranch."

On the Sunnyside of Life is a collection of short stories about life on an isolated cattle ranch in eastern Nevada as seen through her eyes. It contains 42 chapters, each telling a story of the author’s experiences on the ranch.

Written in chronological order, this book narrates how Mooney’s ancestors found and moved to Sunnyside, and how years after, her parents, Punk and Lila Robison Whipple, leased and later bought the Sunnyside Whipple Ranch from her grandparents. The book will make readers laugh, cry, feel awe and relate to the different characters and their encounters.

Through her writing, Mooney portrays the magic she very well experienced while living in Sunnyside. She hopes that readers will feel some connection to a life she thought was so special.
